Fastbill Web:
Fastbill Web is Pushpays online web payments portal for church givers to pay any outstanding bills owing to the church such as school tuition or holiday care fees.
The product needed to be responsive with a mobile first approach and a simple experience for users.
I worked as the lead Front end web Developer for this project and collaborated closely with UX designers, Quality assurance leads and Back end developers to ensure this features development process was a success and on-brand with Pushpay’s Design System.
Styleguide driven development:
To ensure our components were both responsive and consistent with our existing products designs, I approached this project using the styleguide driven development approach.
I firstly broke the designs structure down to individual component levels and developed each item on a maintained styleguide away from production environments. I would then share the styleguide around to my team members online for feedback and to share my progress.
Following this particular approach meant it was faster to collaborate on each of the components that would be used for the product without having to maintain and update multiple pages at once.
End result:
The Fastbill product was launched out to customers and is currently being offered as an additional feature for churches if they wish to have it.
The product was also used by Watercare in Auckland, New Zealand from 2015 to 2017 to validate if there was a market in New Zealand for this feature too.
